ABQCore Neighborhood Association

The ABQCore Neighborhood Association is committed to preserving and enhancing the Albuquerque downtown core. Serving the interests of both businesses and residents, the association holds monthly meetings throughout downtown. The organization invites individuals to join in their efforts to uphold and improve the vibrancy of the city's central area.

Downtown Neighborhoods

Since its 1972 inception, the Downtown Neighborhoods Association has set the standard for neighborhood organizations citywide. Today, over 300 associations follow suit, working to enhance their respective neighborhoods.

Huning Highlands

Huning Highland Historic District, Albuquerque's first subdivision, was platted in April 1880 by Franz Huning, concurrently with the advent of the railroad. Designated a National Historic District in 1979 and a city Historic Overlay Zone in 1981, Huning Highlands boasts a rich history and architectural significance.

Santa Barbara-Martineztown

Martineztown, a close-knit neighborhood east of downtown Albuquerque, holds historical significance at the junction of El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro and Tijeras Canyon. Dating back to the 1800s, it started as a summer pasture and grew into a vital stop for traders by the 1820s. Today, it remains a piece of history as urban development evolves around this area.

West Downtown

Formed in January 2017, the West Downtown Business Group comprises 25+ businesses along Central Ave, spanning from 10th Street to San Pasquale, situated between Downtown and Old Town.

Barelas

Once a standalone village, Barelas joined Albuquerque during the railroad-driven expansion of the 1880s, maintaining a unique identity. Formally established in 1662, it predates Old Town, standing as the city's oldest neighborhood.

East Downtown (EDo)

Established in 2001, the East Downtown (EDo) Neighborhood Association emerged as a dynamic force within the Huning Highland Historic District. Focused on championing and amplifying the vibrant businesses in the vicinity, it stands as a testament to community spirit and entrepreneurial energy.

Raynolds Addition (RANA)

Raynolds Addition, a historic neighborhood situated west of downtown Albuquerque, contributes to the city's rich heritage with its distinct character and proximity to the urban center.

Wells Park

Wells Park, a historic neighborhood north of downtown Albuquerque, was defined by the Wells Park Neighborhood Association in 1979 with boundaries along 12th St. (west), Highway 40 (north), Mountain (south), and First Street (east).
